Ferken debated until the last possible moment before deciding to stop at the estate. Just before leaving the imperial palace, he had seen Luina wrapping a bandage around the loose hilt of her sword. Her old, battered weapon had troubled him for some time, but he had never found a suitable excuse to replace it. Now even Luina would have no choice but to agree that she needed a new sword.
