Stepping away from the crowd, Jisen and Dieren naturally found themselves passing through an open door. They were walking along a promenade leading into the garden. Realizing where they were, Jisen spoke up. “Viscountess Baker mentioned that the promenade is famous for how beautiful it is at night.” “Is that so? Are you sure you should be walking? You look exhausted.” “Just walking is fine.” Lanterns spaced closely along the narrow path lit the way all the way to the lake. The clamor of the party had already faded into the distance.
